Link Your WhatsApp Account

To connect your personal WhatsApp account, run the Node.js "engine" on your computer. This will start a server and generate a QR code for you to scan.

Important: Network Requirement

For this to work, your computer running the script and your phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps on your computer to start the WhatsApp engine.

In your project's terminal, run the WhatsApp engine script:
node src/server/whatsapp-engine.js
The server will log a message like "Server running on port 3001".
Find your computer's Local IP Address.
- On Mac: Go to System Settings > Wi-Fi > Details... > TCP/IP. Your IP address is listed there.
- On Windows: Open Command Prompt and type `ipconfig`. Look for the "IPv4 Address" under your Wi-Fi adapter.
Scan the QR Code with your phone:
Open the browser on your phone and go to http://[YOUR_COMPUTER_IP]:3001/qr. You will see a QR code. Scan it using WhatsApp on your phone via the "Linked Devices" screen.
Once connected, your terminal will show "WhatsApp is connected!". Leave this terminal window running in the background. Your integration is now active.
